Patient diagnosed with severe gummy smile and retrusion of lower jaw

Treated with bi-jaw surgeries including maxillary superior repositioning and mandibular chin advancement( genioplasty).

Patient was diagnosed with Temporo-mandibular-joint(TMJ) disorder since childhood

Patient reported to the clinic with zero mouth opening and bilateral TMJ ankylosis due to childhood injury. Patient underwent two surgeries at 6 months interval: first the bilateral ankylosis was released followed by fixed orthodontic treatment. Later a second Mandibular distraction surgery was followed to increase the mandibular length.

PATIENT WAS DIAGNOSE WITH A RARE TREACHER-COLLINS SYNDROME

Patient was diagnose with a rare TREACHER-COLLINS syndrome. Patient had severe mandibuar retrognathia, long face syndrome and OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA(O.S.A.). Patient also has malformed external ears.
Rapid maxillary expansion was initiated to relieve O.S.A. Patient was operated for bilateral mandibular distraction followed by orthodontic treatment. Patient is due to undergo surgical implantation procedures for prosthetic ear fixation.
